In this easy to follow online course I’ll talk you through my tried-and-tested formula for managing mealtimes the D.E.-S.T.R.E.S.S. way.
There are 10 modules containing videos of me talking you through what works best, plus worksheets and transcripts to the videos. All the videos have captions so you can watch the videos on the go if you need to.
In the first module you'll learn about what fussy eating is, what we think underpins it and also when and where to get more help.
In modules two to nine you'll learn about eight things that you can change to improve mealtimes with your toddler. These eight things spell out D.E.-S.T.R.E.S.S. Small changes to each of these elements can see big shifts in eating behaviours and in your enjoyment of mealtimes. In the final module you will be coached through identifying what to change first, and how to make these changes.
This course is designed to be completed at your own pace. If you wanted to to you could probably watch all the videos in one afternoon, but to complete the exercise and workbooks I'd encourage you to work through a module a day, over two weeks, before starting your chosen changes, setting aside a half hour a day. You will probably want to make at least three key changes from the D.E.-S.T.R.E.S.S approach - so aim for the complete programme to take you 8-12 weeks - enough time to see sustained change.
By the end of the course you will understand more about fussy eating and the key ways in which you and your family can manage mealtimes to get a step closer to Stress-Free Mealtimes.
